Once upon a time, in the lush Amazon rainforest, capybaras were known as the privileged kids of the waters. It all began with a heroic capybara who, in the days of yore, bravely defended a crocodile's precious nest of eggs from a ferocious attack. Moved by the capybara's courage, the crocodile and its reptile comrades, including alligators and caimans, gathered around. They made a solemn pact with the capybara. From that day forward, they swore never to harm a hair on the capybara's head, nor those of its offspring.
